Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We had 14 of us here (all family) from ages 5 mos. to 87 years. There was plenty for everyone to do. What was especially nice was the number of thing to do without even leaving the resort; walking, snowshoeing, tobogganing and skiing. All the extra touches like feeding the chickadees helped to make the trip especially memorable...You have a lovely piece of land that I'm sure will be enjoyed by all who find their way here.

We had a fantastic trip to the SunDog! Between the long snowshoeing journeys, the starlit hot tub soaks and the peaceful solitude, it is a trip to rmember. You've got a beautiful slice of what makes our country so great with the serene lake, the trees everywhere and happy little creatures as neighbours. We were looking for a quiet place to escape from the hustle and bustle of work...and that is just what we got! It is very quiet and peaceful here...We also got engaged yesterday! You know too well the refuge this retreat places on the human soul. From our first day as winter roared in with 10" of snow falling, this knotty pine suite provided a warm cozy abode deep in the woods. The feeling of safety and warmth permeated our family and we slept sound and deep. Your marvelous hospitality in helping us plan and carry out our "American Thanksgiving" dinner...Finally the peace & quiet which facilitated spontaneous napping, daydreaming and moments of insight were a gift that no money can buy. This is a special place- allowing the restraints to be released form the human spirit!

Thank you for letting us share in your beautiful retreat. We experienced nature's bounty - clear blue skies, crisp-air, fire-y autumn colours & refreshing waters. We loved the suite and the way the twig furniture, flagstone & wood-harmonized with the outdoors. Last night we sipped wine by the wood burning stove after a delicious meal on the porch. Could I have imagined a better weekend? Don't think so! What a wonderful birthday gift!

We just want to say thank you so much to Ted & Mary. They were the friendliest hosts ever! It was no problem to let us stay another night in a different suite and we loved this one as much as the Country Classic. The kids loved the bunk beds! The kids also took to Ted and Mary. Ted helping with the kids fishing and Mary listening to their stories. We will surely be back and we are going to let our friends and family know about this gem in the woods...

How one day soon turned into two and eventually five and one family who wanted to see most of Ontario in two weeks, decided they found it all in one place, this place! It's just...very very special here. The lake, the swims in the morning, the afternoon and evening, the canoeing, the kayaking and the sits on the dock.

But mostly the very welcoming and friendly attitude of Ted and Mary who are willing to share their beautiful spot and their generousity. Golden hours are probably best here, but I have decided to put them in my daily routine and find nice spots in Amsterdam around 7 o'clock and just relax...

One night that turned into five actually says it all! It is so great here that we do not want to leave at all anymore. I think that you found the ultimate combination of nature, excellent cottages with lots of charm, great details and luxury, and - the best of all - great company. I really enjoyed sharing this great place with you and admire your ability to share this treasure with others.

Many thanks for showing all the wonderful spots around the cottages, your tour around the park, your great advice on whatever we could do here, how to get here and what the weather would be like, the excellent massage and facelift (hope that my boyfriend still recognises me!), delicious food and most importantly your wonderful hospitality and warmth! The SunDog Retreat is a relaxing, private and peaceful place. We enjoyed kayaking along the shores of the lake, had great luck fishing off the docks and in the evening warmed ourselves with a little fire by the waterside. Our cottage unit, the "City Slicker" exceeded our expectations. Ted and Mary were thoughtful & helpful hosts. We hope to visit again!

We were so pleased with what this retreat had to offer, in terms of facilities, amentities, service, the whole bit. Structurally, the building(s) was unique and beautiful. Our loftroom was gorgeous! Thanks, Mary & Ted for your warmth & hospitality. The weekend could not have been nicer for our bunch of 30-ish year-olds. This experience has been totally serendipitous. This quality retreat experience has definitely set a standard for us for future weekend getaways. I don't think we will ever experience such a quality camping retreat anywhere else. I can't wait to come back.
